Compounding Aseptic Containment Isolators (CACI) Provides the maximum level of personnel and product protection
This unit is also referred to as a Laminar Flow Glovebox Isolator or LFGI and provides the ultimate in product and personnel protection. While operating under strong negative pressure the LFGI operates as a Compounding Aseptic Containment Isolator or CACI. Additionally, the unit functions as a Compounding Aseptic Isolator (CAI) under positive pressure to meet USP 797 regulations.
The operator of the system is provided with a complete barrier from the materials being manipulated by working with a highly ergonomic glove system. This provides protection during compounding and material transfer processes.
The CACI utilizes HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters to provide the highest level of protection for the operator product. The supply HEPA filter provides laminar flow air, which bathes the entire work area. The exhaust HEPA filter handles all air exiting the Compounding Aseptic Containment Isolator – CACI. Additionally, there are two HEPA filters located inside the HEPA Purge airlock that filter the purged air from the unit.
