Pharmaceutical Plant in Skidel to Open in October

A pharmaceutical plant in Skidel (Grodno Oblast) will be launched in October, the press service of the Council of Republic told BelTA following the meeting between Speaker, curator of the Belarusian-Indian cooperation Mikhail Myasnikovich and Indian investors Jayant Kaushik, Alok Kumar (Lok-Beta Pharmaceuticals (I) Pvt. Ltd) and Director of OOO Novalok Kumar Manoranjan.

The press service noted that the plant will produce the medications for the needs of the domestic market and for foreign markets. During the meeting the parties also discussed the development of the project. “Plans are in place to synthesize substances for the production of medicines for diabetes, cardio diseases and Aids,” the Council of the Republic noted.

New Pharmaceutical Plant to Increase Quality and Production

The upper house of Parliament recalled that with the participation of Indian capital and technology Belarus is completing a pharmaceutical plant project in Beshenkovichi (Vitebsk Oblast) and is building a plant in Kolyadichi near Minsk. During the meeting Mikhail Myasnikovich spoke highly of the work of Indian partners and raised the issues of product quality, training of qualified personnel and proper documentation,” the press service noted.
