Johnson Controls, the global leader for smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, today announced it has acquired Fisher Group, one of the leading HVAC installation and service providers in the UK.

Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), the global leader for smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, today announced it has acquired Fisher Group, one of the leading HVAC installation and service providers in the UK.

Headquartered in Glasgow, the acquisition of Fisher Group (including Fisher Group Ltd and Fisher Group Services) allows Johnson Controls to accelerate growth plans in Scotland, providing customers with easier access to its world leading portfolio of HVAC products, services, and solutions.

A trusted provider of HVAC equipment and services, the integration of Fisher Group will help Johnson Controls fill a service gap in Scotland, adding a number of experienced engineers and ensuring the company’s existing and future customer base in the country is offered the highest level of service.

With Fisher Group’s high level of knowledge in supplying HVAC solutions to commercial and industrial markets, the acquisition also enhances Johnson Controls’ full HVAC offering across multiple customer segments.

Reaching a new customer base in Scotland

Johnson Controls offers an industry leading portfolio of HVAC equipment and controls around the world. The integration of Fisher Group will allow Johnson Controls to further diversify that portfolio, taking advantage of Fisher Group’s strong account relationships across the petrochemical, healthcare, education, facilities management, and commercial sectors.

The acquisition also allows Johnson Controls to draw on Fisher Group’s expertise in the design and installation of air conditioning for commercial and industrial markets, while expanding Johnson Controls’ pool of expert employees in the HVAC industry.

“We are delighted to announce that we have now completed the acquisition of Fisher Group,” said Michael Anderton, General Manager for HVAC at Johnson Controls UK&I. “Fisher Group is one of the leading HVAC companies in Scotland, with an enviable reputation and customer base. We are excited to be working with the talented team of HVAC professionals from Fisher Group and combining the strengths of both companies to better serve both existing and new customers.”

Working together to deliver the highest level of service

Fisher Group will form part of Johnson Control’s UK North Commercial HVAC Installation and Service business, reporting into Lee Tindall, Johnson Control’s National HVAC Installations Manager. In the immediate future, the Fisher Group name will be retained.

Personnel from Fisher Group and Johnson Control will work together over the coming months, identifying where the combined strengths of the two organisations can best be used to offer customers in Scotland, both present and future, the highest level of service.

“This deal is an extremely important milestone and will achieve a key objective within Fisher Group and Johnson Controls’ strategy for growth,” explained James McLaughlin, Managing Director of the Fisher Group. We believe with Fisher Group and Johnson Controls joining forces, it creates a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to provide a high level of services to our valued clients and will enable us to further expand on client support and delivery by offering a broader range of services.
