LifeScience Logistics Expands Into Raleigh-Durham
LifeScience Logistics Responds to booming demand for FDA-regulated, temperature-controlled storage and distribution of pharmaceutical and medical devices
Responding to booming demand for FDA-regulated, temperature-controlled storage and distribution of pharmaceutical and medical devices, Dallas-based Life Science Logistics (LSL), a leading, national provider of healthcare supply chain solutions, today announced the company will be entering the Raleigh-Durham market with a new, 132,000 sq. ft. mixed-use facility in Research Triangle Park. This new storage and distribution facility will create 50-100 new jobs.
The fast-growing company of more than 600 employees, which currently has 12 storage and distribution locations across nine states – from Dallas to New York to Seattle – aims to continue its coast-to-coast growth with the expansion into Raleigh-Durham, according to CEO Richard Beeny. The new facility, which has been acquired and is in the process of being rebuilt to LSL’s controlled-temperature and cold chain storage and distribution specifications, is slated to open in early 2022.
“Demand for pharmaceutical and medical device temperature-controlled storage and distribution in Raleigh-Durham has never been greater,” adds Beeny. “As one of the leading, independent providers of healthcare 3rd-party logistics, we felt it was critical to respond to the growing needs of our East Coast clients and of the market – and both are asking for our services in Raleigh-Durham. We’re thrilled to become part of this community.”
The new space, located in Research Triangle Park, will house 132,000 sq. ft. of controlled-temperature (20-25 degrees Celsius) and cold chain (2-8 degrees Celsius) storage space, and will serve as yet another well-positioned location in LSL’s storage and distribution network.
“We hold ourselves to an extremely high quality standard,” says Beeny. “Healthcare logistics is all we do – and we believe that shows in everything we do, from training to operations. We’re proud to say that our manufacturing clients have grown to expect that quality and attention to regulatory and compliance standards from us.”
With the inclusion of the Raleigh-Durham location, LSL’s total national footprint will exceed four million sq. ft. in mixed-use storage and distribution space.
